Ray Meiring
Managing Director
Co-founder of Relate Technologies, Ray Meiring is the company visionary and leader. A technical “whiz kid”, Ray’s ability to analyse a business challenge and apply technology to overcoming it has been instrumental in winning and maintaining some of Relate’s key clients. An optimist by nature, Ray instils a “can-do” attitude into the culture of Relate Technologies. An attitude that translates into passion for providing our clients with the “smartest” technology solutions to their business challenges.
Out of the office, Ray enjoys hitting the squash court, reading up on the latest business and technology trends, downloading the latest “cool” app for his iPad (the latest one…) and spending quality time with his wife and two daughters.
Geoff Lander
Operations
As a person who seeks out challenges in sport and business alike, Geoff has taken on and mastered various roles at technology companies, including Product Manager, Financial Manager, Development Manager, Sales Manager, and Managing Director. A natural born leader, Geoff now takes his hands-on experience in key roles within a business to manage Relate Technologies and lead our teams in implementing our strategies within each core business area. Geoff also applies his experience and skills to managing Finance and Sales.
Geoff is a keen sportsman and lover of the outdoors, as well as a dedicated family man. When he’s not hitting the forest on this mountain bike, scaling a cliff face or hiking some road less travelled, you’ll find him in the water kite-boarding or paddle-skiing. Weekends are focused on doing all of the above activities with his wife, son and daughter.
Stéphanie Laurent
Technology
A native of France, Stéphanie Laurent embodies a rare combination of European academic training and theory and more than 10 years practical experience in the South African IT industry. Never one to shy away from speaking her mind and taking a stand, Stéphanie serves as a sounding board for all ideas requiring a bit of intelligent debate and vetting before embarking on a development project. Stephanie’s “can do” attitude, work ethic and integrity show in the development team’s delivery of world-class solutions.
Outside of the office, Stéphanie’s French upbringing becomes apparent in her indulgence in good food and wine. Other pastimes include gardening, cooking, spending quality time at home with her partner, and thinking up strange drinking games to subject colleagues to at the annual company function.
Julian Diaz
Marketing & PR
Julian is responsible for ensuring Relate Technologies is in the hearts and minds of future and current clients through smart marketing and PR activities. A native of Atlanta, USA, Julian has worked in the US, Germany and South Africa for leading technology companies where he gained extensive experience building international technology brands into industry leaders.
Julian is fluent in Spanish and German. In his free time, Julian enjoys running, cycling, hiking, enjoying a few whiskys with friends, and generally indulging in the lifestyle that Cape Town has to offer.
